About ZERO CUT
When music producers make songs, they use separate audio layers called stems — just the drums, just the vocals, or just the bass line. ZERO CUT is a marketplace where producers upload these studio stem packs, set a license price, preview every layer live in a mixer, and sell licenses directly to other makers. Split-pay between collaborators is handled automatically at checkout.
The Feature Song — Example Track
The first song in every list — "They Called Me Little Ratskill" by Little Ratskill (produced by Docuhits, 2026, Rap) — is a permanent example built into ZERO CUT. It always holds the #1 spot; every other song loads after it at #2 and below. It is the only song that displays cover artwork, so you can preview the live mixer and the buy flow right away. It is not labeled as special or premium — it simply stays in the first position.
No cover images, by design: all other songs are uploaded without cover artwork. Only the feature song shows an image, so the store stays clean and consistent.
1. Create An Account
Sign up with your email and a password (or one-tap Google). You'll verify your email with a code, then land on the store. Accounts keep your tracks, purchases, and payout splits tied to you — so everything you buy and sell is private to your login.
2. Upload A Stem Pack (Seller Dashboard)
Open Seller Dashboard and create a track. Fill in the title, producer name, genre, BPM, and musical key, then drag-and-drop your raw stem files. Each stem gets a clear label and an optional preview flag — marked previews show up in the live mixer on the store page. Songs are uploaded without cover images by design — only the permanent feature song shows artwork.
3. Auto-Tag With AI
Hit AUTO-TAG WITH AI and ZERO CUT reads your messy filenames and renames every stem into the industry standard BPM_Key_InstrumentName.wav format — for example sub_bass_heavy_808_master.wav becomes 110_Am_808Sub.wav. The AI also detects the instrument for each layer automatically.
4. Split-Pay Your Collaborators
Add each collaborator's email, role (Producer, Vocalist, Co-producer…), and a revenue percentage. The dashboard warns you until the shares total 100%. At checkout the price is split across everyone automatically — no manual invoicing.
5. Publish & Preview In The Mixer
Set your price and hit publish. Your pack appears on the store. Open any track to load the Live Stem Mixer: press play to hear every preview layer stack together, mute layers, and slide individual volumes to audition the arrangement before buying.
6. Buy A License
Click Buy License on any track to open secure checkout. The price is confirmed server-side from the real listing, collaborators are paid their split, and a confirmation screen appears when the payment completes.
7. My Library
Everything you buy lands in My Library with its transaction status and a link back to the track page. From there you can pull your licensed stems and start the direct peer-to-peer transfer to download the master files.
8. Peer-To-Peer Stem Transfer (WebRTC)
After you buy a license, your master stems stream straight from the seller's browser to yours over a secure peer-to-peer WebRTC connection — no cloud middle-man stores your files. Here's how to use it:
- Buyer: open My Library and click DIRECT TRANSFER on your purchased track. This opens the transfer screen and waits for the seller.
- Seller: open Seller Dashboard and click TRANSFER on that track. Keep the page open — the buyer connects to you automatically.
- Once both screens show CONNECTED, the seller selects the raw master stem files from their computer. The files stream directly to the buyer in real time.
- Buyer: each file appears with a DOWNLOAD button as it arrives. Save them anywhere on your machine.
Tips: both sides must keep the transfer screen open at the same time, on a device with a stable connection. If the status stays WAITING FOR PEER, the other person is not yet on the screen — refresh and retry.
